Hotel 1635 - Haarlem

The stay was quite enjoyable, especially being so close to attractions like the Archeological Museum and the Grote of St Bavokerk, both just a short walk away. The Superior King Room had a lovely romantic vibe. I appreciated the unique layout and decor in the room, which added to the hotel's charm. The shower setup could use some improvement to avoid splashing water everywhere on the bathroom floor.

Make sure you stay in the double room with an excellent bathroom, open windows plus beautiful paintings. The staff are affable and provide a fantastic service. Thank you for the stay - will definitely go back there again.

A major drawback lies in the lack of privacy due to poor room layout, leaving rooms dark and dependent on artificial light. Noise travels easily through the wooden floors and stairs-overhead guests can disrupt your peace, and sound carry from adjoining rooms is an issue, impacting rest significantly. Housekeeping could use more attention. Some had unemptied bins and messy drawers, not ideal.

The Maf Haarlem Boutique Hotel was like stepping into a charming gallery with quirky decor. The breakfast was a highlight, with classic Dutch treats, and the room was stylishly spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect too-just a stone's throw from vibrant shops and restaurants.

The steep stairs were less than ideal, especially for those with heavy luggage. Though the atmosphere was lovely, some cleanliness issues in the bathroom left a bit to be desired. While enthralling, it could improve in service consistency.
